Liberia: Muslims in Bong County Laud Supt Jackson for “Muslims, Christians Togetherness”

The Chief Imam of Gbarnga Central Mosque in Bong County, Amandu Swaray has lauded the Superintendent of Bong County, Hon. Rinnie Jackson for allowing the wheel of peace to turn amongst Muslim and Christian brothers in the county.
Speaking to the GNN in Gbarnga City surrounded with his kinsmen and executives of the Bong County Muslim Community, Imam Swaray said the Muslim community in the County is grateful to the current Superintendent for promoting peace and unity among the people of the County.
“We are very happy for the way our Superintendent is running his office by making us to unite among ourselves; Muslim Community and the Christian brothers and sisters are always together in the name of Allah,” Imam Swaray in a relaxed and happy mood noted.
He said the over 1,000 Muslims in the county are all happy with the way things are going, adding, “the Muslims Community in this County is too happy…. no trouble. Any thing happens to Kpelle man all of us are concerned, and also the same thing with us, any thing happens to Mandingo man,the Kpelle people get concerned,” Imam Swaray stressed.
The Gbarnga Chief Imam however, called on those in the diasporas, especially the Mandingoes in the Americas to not worry, stressing, “We want to tell our brothers in the America that Liberia is safe…Everything is alright here. We want them to come so that all of us will help to build Liberia. The only thing, no plenty money here….OOO” the Muslims Cleric said.
Gbarnga is regaining its pre-war status; every sector of the City was seen in a serious commercial action. Many spoken to expressed their happiness for the return of stability in their county, “Thank God there is no more the sound of gun. At least we can sleep sound,” a young lady who preferred not to be named told the GNN.
